So this book has given me many sleepless nights - dreaming about Greg and Songs and Bridges and counting. Plus, the introductions to each section of the book provide some great bits of Taskmaster lore for fans of the show. It has 101 tasks that will entertain you, your family and/or your friends and bring a lot of laughs and joy.

its a nice book and I highly recommend it but ONLY if you have lots of time and are ready and willing to go down countless blind alleys. However, what I noticed about these tasks (more than I noticed with the previous book) is that so many of them really seem to encourage you to broaden your horizons, learn new skills, try new things, think a different way. As a solo performer, Horne then wrote and performed "Birdwatching" at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival and "Wordwatching" at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival.Even if you are just trying the tasks on your own, you'll be left with all these new personal benefits - not to mention the usual fun and joy you would expect from Taskmaster! More recently he has worked alongside fellow comedian Owen Powell, in the attempt to find a person from every nationality living in London. In 2011 he compered "The Horne Section", a comedy variety show with live music which was later broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Apart from the treasure hunt the book itself has little interludes giving insight into the world of Little Alex Horne. Following those however are a series of easy then impossible until you twist your mind into an Escher like form.

Two months down the line I'm still diligently working on the treasure hunt, the end is definitely not in sight and the winner could be anyone, but it's been good fun in the meantime. A lot of the little quiz questions are far too hard for my brain to understand but he seems to be able to answer most of them. Horne was educated at Lancing College (Fields House, 1991–1996) and the University of Cambridge, where he was a member of Footlights. This book contains both a wide variety of task suggestions (explain earth to an alien, count the number of squirrels you see in a year, you know, usual stuff) and an absolutely enthralling, overarching puzzle that will have you tearing your hair out in the best way possible.
